Summary

A booking with Olio VR Oy is always binding. For normal group events: cancellation ³ 7 days before

the event is free of charge; 6–1 days before ® 50% fee; less than 24 hours before/no-show ® 100% fee. Online payments are non-refundable, but bookings may be rescheduled under the same terms. For open games & birthdays, participant numbers may be reduced £ 72h before the event, and increased only if capacity allows. Private bookings may be modified > 7 days before. Gift cards are valid for 6 months, in line with consumer authority recommendations. Age limit is 6+. For people with epilepsy, late-stage pregnancy, or serious heart/neck conditions, medical consultation is recommended before playing. All prices include VAT, and participation is at one’s own risk. In force majeure cases, a new date or gift card will be offered.

1.Booking and Payment

1. Bookings can be made via online store, email, or phone. Confirmation is sent by email and binds the customer immediately.

2. Payment methods: online banking/card, sports/culture benefits, gift card, or cash/card on-site.

3. Online payments are not refunded if participant numbers change, but bookings may be rescheduled as per the booking terms.

4. Invoicing is possible for companies/organizations on a case-by-case basis; payment term 7 days net unless otherwise agreed. All bookings are binding regardless of method.

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to info@oliovr.fi. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days if terms allow.

1. Open Games & Birthdays – Participant numbers may be reduced free of charge up to 72h before. Additional slots only if available.

2. Private Games / Custom Bookings – Changes (date, time, duration) allowed > 7 days in writing. After that, cancellation fees apply.

3. Force Majeure – In case of e.g. restrictions, power outages, or pandemics, Olio VR offers a new date or gift card (valid 24 months). If rejected, refund is made minus incurred costs.

4. Catering & Additional Services – Charged according to confirmed price and participant count. Partner terms apply if stricter.

5. Customer Responsibilities – Arrive at least 10 minutes before. Late arrivals may shorten play. Customers are responsible for safe conduct; damages will be charged. Lost playtime due to late arrival is not compensated.

3.Gift Cards

Valid for 6 months unless otherwise stated. Not exchangeable for cash, but validity may be extended upon agreement. Reservations must be made within validity period.

 

4.Age, Size, and Health Restrictions

Customers are responsible for assessing their health and participate at their own risk. Personal accident/travel insurance is recommended.

5.Safety and Behavior

Follow staff instructions. Staff may stop the game or remove a customer without refund in case of risk. Damages or mess will be charged accordingly. Valuables are the customer’s responsibility; Olio VR is not liable for lost/damaged property.

6.Prices and Taxes

All prices include VAT. Olio VR reserves the right to change prices and campaigns before booking confirmation.

7.Consumer Protection & Distance Selling

Leisure services tied to a fixed date are not subject to the 14-day cancellation right. For passes without a fixed date, customers may cancel within 14 days if the service has not started.

8.Data Processing (GDPR)

Olio VR processes customer data (name, contact info, payment method) for booking, communication, and safety reporting. Data is securely stored and deleted once retention obligations end. See Privacy Policy for details.

9.Limitation of Liability

Olio VR is not liable for indirect costs (travel, accommodation, lost income) due to cancellation or technical issues. Liability is limited to the paid service price unless mandatory law states otherwise.

10.Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Finnish law applies. Disputes should first be resolved by negotiation. Consumers may contact the Consumer Ombudsman or Consumer Disputes Board. Business disputes are handled in Vantaa District Court.
